Local Elections, the Pièce de Résistance

We continue reviewing our local candidates!

"I'm concerned by Rahn V. Workcuff," the DNB says.

"How come?" I ask. "His crazy blurry picture?"

"Well, that. But he never gets elected. It's a bad sign." He has a point. Workcuff has been "candidate MN senate district 60 1996, candidate for mayor 1997, candidate for mayor 2000." He and Jeffrey Beck should stop trading election tips. State senate, mayor, soil and water supervisor.

"And second, have you SEEN his issue statement??"

I scan it quickly. Only the last sentence, as if an afterthought, is dedicated to soil and water issues. The rest contains remarks like this: "I strongly agree that a marriage should be only between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of same sex marriages."

I wonder if I'm mistaken about what the duties of a Soil and Water Supervisor, Seat 3, entail.

"Maybe he got confused between sod and SODomy," the DNB suggests.

Now that we have all this background on the candidates, you know you're going to have to post a blog with your commentary on the winners, right?
